My First Remodeling Project

I knew when I bought my house that eventually I'd need to get around to remodelling. Well, that day has arrived. My bathroom last Saturday night:

My bathroom this morning:

I can proudly say that I've done most of the tile removal - I worry a little bit that I seem to be good at destroying things, although my knuckles would take issue with that (Rosann + hammer + late night = not good combination!). So it's been one week, although today was the first day my shower was not real functional (baths for the time being I guess, unless I want to see how good of friends I really have!!). We'll see how long this takes, and how soon the next project starts!

Family Pictures

Oh yeah - and we had family pictures taken!

More Memorial Day

Over Memorial Day, for the first time in 5 years, all of the Robinsons were in one place at the same time... some of the picture highlights

A victim of 1, 2, 3 BONZAI!!

The Robinsons love to bowl!

Salsa got some extra lovin & attention

It was fun to see all the kiddos together...

And don't forget the precious moments!

Happy Father's Day Papasan!

Um.... I thought Father's Day was next Sunday... oops. What would I do without my Papasan? He takes care of me in every way - from house problems ("Dad, I've locked myself out - what do I do??!") to work problems ("Dad, how long until I can retire?!") to church problems ("Dad, I just don't fit in anywhere") to financial problems ("Dad, how can I pay for....") to... you name it ("Dad, how do I get Salsa to behave?!")!! My favorite pictures of Dad are when he's being Grandpa. Happy Father's Day to the best Papasan ever!

A Little Behind...

I'm a little behind on my reading... part of my problem is that I can't go to Sam's without checking out the books, and it must be a sin to get a coupon from Barnes & Noble and not use it... One of these days I'll get it together and get caught up!

Big Trucks

Myriad broke ground this week on a new building - Phase 5 - at the moment it's mostly pushing dirt around and knocking over trees. This is the view out of my window, and it makes me think of my nephews, all of whom love big trucks and scoops and any big piece of machinery... and to be honest, I see many of the guys standing and watching (but not me of course - HA!)

Memorial Day & the Bolder Boulder

One of my family's traditions is running in the Bolder Boulder, a 10K road race, on Memorial Day. This year was my 3rd finish, despite no training (good intentions, just no time this year). This race is unlike any other - along the course there's all kinds of bands that play (I hi-fived Elvis!), belly dancers of all ages, slip and slides in yards, runners in all kinds of costumes, and just about everything else you can think of, not to mention the over 54,000 runners this year.
Within the first mile, running with my sister-in-law Ariane... notice the smile

And at the finish line... notice the lack of smile!!

I averaged 12min21sec miles, for a finish time of 1hr16minutes - in 30,030th place!
